Terry Mesa, Director
Formerly with the Florida Youth Orchestra, Terry has founded and cultivated arts in education in public, private and social service agencies for more than a decade in South Florida. She has arranged outreach programs with ensambles for audiences of many ages and provided all to hear and appreciate talented young musicians. All three of Terry’s daughters are accomplished in stringed instruments.

Dance
Dance instruction in liturgical and team styles will allow the student to explore movement in a positive atmosphere. Heidi Yancey Mosely, Professional Dance Instrucotr and Performer, provides students with a solid foundation in ballet, modern, praise & workship, and jazz styles.

guitar

Guitar
Guitar group classes in age appropriate grades from K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th learning technique elements of holding the guitar, chord fingerings, play rhythm and note reading.Barbara Hoffmann, Guitar Instructor, has an extensive music performance and teaching background. In addition to her work with NPA, she teaches guitar in the University of Delaware extension program. She is a worship leader and does freelance writing for a local newspaper.

percussion

Percussion
Percussion group classes in age appropriate grades from 3rd-5th, 6th-8th and High School Division learning technique elements of holding the drum sticks, reading rhythm etc. Kris Grant, Percussion Instructor, has a Master Degree from the University of Delaware, and loves teaching children.

Violin / Viola

Violin/Viola

Violin and Viola group classes in age appropriate grades from K-2nd, 3rd-5th learn technique elements of holding the violin/viola & bow, playing rhythm and note reading. Laura Stout, Violin/Viola Instructor, has a Masters Degree from Kent State University. Laura is attending the University of Delaware and performing in the Master Quartet. She has extensive performing experience.

Violin TA

Gabriella Stout, began her violin studies at the age of 4. She has performed with orchestras, praise teams, quartets and done solo work. In 2008, she performed on stage at Carnegie Hall. Gabriella has taught in NPA and String Fling Summer Camp in Florida.
